Bodybuilding Forum  /  Bodybuilding Contests  /  Clash of the TITANS!

Its about the time of year again where everybody is speculating about the british championships - and who will do what?

This always seems to cause conflict between people and their favourites - I have read so many heated debates about this kind of stuff! The irony of it all is that more often that not - its never usually the athletes themselfs, rather their friends or fans!

Bodybuilding is one of the toughest sports out there, anyone who competes knows just what you have to gothrough. The way I see it is that we all are in this together and go through the same mess - so lets have less hating, we get enough of that from the general public! So I would just like wish everyone who is competing this year the best of luck!

I am really looking forward the the British champs - esp the heavyweights which really will be the clash of the TITANS!

I Agree PJ the heavey weights will be the clash! of 2008....(exited!) My money is on Alvin Small, saw this guy rag off in the  gym a few weeks back got to say he is looking f@£ing Sick! condition for days, there was talk that he might not compete because of an injury but time will tell, he was saying he needs to put a bit more size on.. lol he must be weiging atleast 21 ripped..if you ask me he's got it in the bag for sure!.....

Yeah Id have to agree that Alvin will be right up there. He took 3rd last year and with a full years training behind him will be well improved. Are you guessing at his weight? Last year he as slightly over 18 stone - which is heavy, but 21 stone is a whole new level!

Darren Ball will also be a tough guy to beat - you can guarantee he will be in condition and since he had his hernia op he should have a much more streamlined mid section.

It will be one hell of a class!

I have to agree Kez Daz is looking good, and as the reigning champ is the man to beat - but I do feel the standard of the top 5 will be much higher this year.

He does look better, however he should never have won the british with such a great noticable hernia in the first place i just thought that a genetic flaw/odd lump. How can judges not take a hernia into account unless they thought the same as me.

He looks in good from now check out his facebook pics.

ok here's my top 5 for the heavyweights (over 90kg)

Dave Titterton,
Haroldas,
Daz Ball,
Zack Khan,
Stuart Core

All in no particular order!

Reason I have not included Alvin Small - of course he is top 3 material but since he has had a serious shoulder injury - this may have really hampered his prep, stand up in theis lineup sub par and you wil lose!

because hardly anyone thought he shud have won. Nothin new there though - thats just part and parcel of sports that are judged and are subjective.
