I know it's a bit late, but I had a very similar dispute with BT when I moved house a couple of years back.
I was without a phone, fax or internet connection for over a month. I spent a fortune calling them on my mobile! Nothing seemed to get things fixed. (Eventually I sent back their modem and told them what to do with their internet bills.
That's why I got Virgin cable, which is fine for my internet, and I am using the mobile for calls now.
Eventually BT got the phone line going, but it's very expensive, if you call mobiles, and I will get rid of it this year, and spend the money on an iPhone which can replace the internet and e-mail if the Virgin cable goes down or I move house. Don't need a fax much now. |
